Hey there notaries! One of the biggest headaches starting out as a newbie loan signing agent is knowing the unspoken rules or trying to decipher the written ones. Printing loan docs by "PDF size" is a term you'll read when you accept electronic documents. Documents must be printed by size and not shrunk to fit the page - this way the font stays the required 10 pt or larger. Also, legal documents that get printed on letter size paper format incorrectly and require a loan to get rejected from the lender or county recorders office.
Rather than crossing your fingers and possibly waste a bunch of paper, I've added instructions on how to get your printer set up to industry standards. These 2 pages will print out letter then legal. Take a moment to get your printer saved on the correct settings now.
